Support to eat well

Eating well and maintaining a healthy weight is an important part of life; however we know it can be difficult after a cancer diagnosis and/or anti-cancer treatments.

Ayrshire and Arran’s dietetic service and the Macmillan Nutrition Team want to ensure that everyone living in Ayrshire with a cancer diagnosis can access high quality evidence-based advice and support. To achieve this they have worked together so that those with a cancer diagnosis can now access the dietetic service without a medical referral. So if you have had a cancer diagnosis and you need support or advice to overcome problems such as: a poor appetite, weight loss, weight gain, or you just want to ask a few questions about your diet, phone the Macmillan Nutrition Team on 01563 575412 or complete this form and e-mail it to: Clinical_Specialty_Nutrition_Dietetics_North@aapct.scot.nhs.uk marking the subject heading as “Macmillan”.

Please note: It is important for the team to know certain pieces of information about you, your diagnosis and your treatment so they can ensure they are giving you the right information and support. They therefore ask that you complete the form as fully as possible, or if you are telephoning you are prepared to answer some questions about yourself.
